A face only a mother could love?

Dobby is just such a goof, and he is fun to photograph. I took this photo of him today by getting way too close with the lens. He is Momma's baby!

And then there is the Precious! AWWW!! Too cute huh? Here she is sleeping on my robe. In the morning I lay it out for her to snuggle in while I shower. As you can see she is quite content!

Flower Power

I spent hours planting flowers the other day. Luckily the weather has been amazing! The temp is around the upper 70's to mid 80's on most days, and I am lovin' it!

Baby Robins

A momma Robin decided to nest in the Arborvitae that is right next to my garden hose spigot! Seems like every time I turn it off or on, she is in there, and we frighten each other. She squawks with annoyance at me and flies quickly away. The three babies are naked yet, with just tufts of feathers on their heads. I will keep you posted as they grow.

Memory Quilt Square

Hospice Alliance sent me a square of fabric with instructions to do with it as I wanted to represent my loved one in a Memory Quilt they are creating for display. I called to see if I could replace the fabric with Aida cloth so I could cross-stitch instead. They told me that would be just fine. So here is the block I created to represent my gram in the Memory Quilt for Hospice Alliance :)

Cross Stitch Card

My cousin Bonnie was having twins, so for her baby shower I decided to make a card. Instead of something typical, I decided to cross stitch their names on a piece of Aida cloth, then back it with card-stock and Lace. For the backside I used a plain piece of card-stock upon which I wrote my message to her and the babies. I had the perfect ribbon to create the hanger! Two spools, one with baby boy printed on it, and another with baby girl. What luck!

Birthday Bowl of Roses

My mom gave me this beautiful bowl of flowers for my birthday. My favorite color is pink, and this is pretty much my favorite shade of pink! And, yes, that is a Pez dispenser.

Today I had Erik pose with Dobby and Precious, both in their holiday garb! Too cute, don't ya' think?

Christmas Party for Friends

I decided to host a Christmas party for my friends. Because my mom's birthday is the 6th, I added that into the party using red velvet cupcakes...yum!
The menu consisted of turkey pot pie, fettucini alfredo, shrimp in garlic sauce, chocolate-cranberry cheesecake, irish cream cheesecake, pumpkin pie, red velvet cupcakes, wine, and rum punch.
The guests included (in no particular order): Lisa Brondi, Joyce Hansen, Quin Franz, Laurie McNulty, Denise & Phyllis Sabar, Lynda Steindinger, Brenda Selevredes, her daughter Nicole and daugther-in-law (ugh my memory on names), my mom, Nana... and me :)

First Snow

We had our first snow today, so I took a few photos.
